Human Rights And Legal Awareness

R.K. Trust has got a project sanctioned by Virginia Gildersleeve International Fund (VGIF), USA on “Legal Aid and Consciousness on Human Rights of Women”. The Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, Govt. of India granted permission to receive funds from VGIF. The one year legal awareness project implemented from December 2016  to July 2017 in Gudalur block with the support of legal officials and police department officials

Community Sensitization programme, Legal camps, Adolescent girls education, Exposure trip, Publicity campaigns which includes an awareness debate on legal rights of women by eminent speakers telecasted in the local television network are the important components of this project.

Legal Awareness

The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Inspector of All women Police Station, Thasildar,  Advocates from Gudalur Bar Association School and college authorities and other foundation officials are actively involved in implementing this project. This project created great impact and the women beneficiaries are not hesitate to avail their basic rights through legal system.
