Medical camp
With the association of Family planning Association of India, Coonoor organised a Breast Cancer detection camp along with HB testing and general medical check-up on 24th Nov. Dr. Srinivasan Porthi an experienced doctor in this field from Family planning association was took part and conducted the medical check-up.8 trainees were advised to go for further treatment for STI at Family planning association of India. Needy persons are provided with necessary medicines.
World Population day
World population day was celebrated on 6th July 2018 at R.K.Trust project office Coonoor jointly with Family Planning association of India, Coonoor. Every year on this day , World population Day is celebrated to bring awareness about the exploding world population and the importance of reproductive health. This year the World
Population Day theme is Family planning is a human right. The Branch Manager of Family Planning Association, Coonoor Mr. Varadharajan participated in this function and explained about the importance of world population day and guided the young girls on reproductive health and services rendered by family planning association.
COVID -19 PREVENTION AND SUPPORT
Supporting the community by supplying Masks and to the needy. We have supplied free masks to 2 villages at Coonoor block, as per the request of Block development officer Coonoor and The Village Administrative officer at Melur panchayat, we have stitched and handed over 300 masks.
Our Volunteers are educating the people on one to one basis about the pandemic. We are taking efforts to help the labourers from North India for their daily food during the lockdown.
